Battlefield’s Battle Royale entry “Firestorm” Gets it’s first trailer and a March 25th release date.

As usual with EA DICE trailers the reveal for Firestorm was very, very well produced. Excellent directing and soundtrack highlight the theme of Battlefield going Battle Royale.

Unfortunately there’s no actual gameplay in the trailer although influencer video should come soon. For now we know that the game will rely heavily on vehicles, destruction and the WWII setting to make it’s self unique in the currently crowded space.

Also unfortunate is that the mode will be a simple addition to the existing Battlefield V and not it’s own free to play client. Fortnite and Apex Legends have shown us how quickly a game can rise when free to play as PUBG and Call of Duty Blackout stagnate a bit due to having the barrier of entry of a full software purchase.

All said the mode could be an excellent new entry in the genera and the future isn’t set. We can’t wait to see how it fares.
