The India mobile market is incredibly strong and smartphones are where a majority of their media is consumed, especially games. In fact, India is the only territory in the world where the market expanded in 2018 as other sectors stagnated. Research firm techARC is projecting that over 300 Million handsets will be sold in 2019 alone to Indian customers. With 149 million of these devices projected to be smartphones, there are real opportunities for esports to expand in the country with events such as these leading the way.
We’ll be covering the event and linking live streams on the 10th.
