Coca-Cola steps up to sponsor Smash Bros. for Seattle’s Don’t Park On The Grass Tournament.

Don’t Park On The Grass hits Seattle again on December 15th and they’ll have a sponsor you may have heard of before: Coca-Cola.

This will be the first time that Coke has sponsored a Smash event and it’s interesting that it’s a smaller event as well. Held at the University of Washington, Don’t Park on the Grass will host an international collection of Smash players and be powered by EndGameTV.

There seems to be a growing trend of larger sponsors paying attention to fighting games lately and that’s a great thing. Nickelodeon Studios hosted a Smash Event in Oakland CA. as a promo for their new Ninja Turtles show in October as well.
