Fortnite has hit a massive and near unprecedented 8.3 million concurrent players.

I know you hear about Fortnite all the time and the massive success it’s been. It’s grown to 80 million players, millions of hours of viewed broadcasts, massive events and merchandise in stores across the world.

Well now it has another record to tout: 8.3 million players concurrently according to Epic Games Korea CEO Sung Chul Park. That’s up from 3.4 million in February!

Here’s a metric to keep in mind. Steam, the biggest PC gaming store and network of all time pulls in 13 million concurrent players across all games COMBINED.

Can anything stop the Fortnite train? Not so far no, including Call of Duty entering the battle royale space with Blackout. (Although it’s been very successful as well)
