Tony Sparano, the Minnesota Vikings O.L. Coach, beloved by many players he coached, died today of an apparent heart attack. He was 56, leaving behind his wife and 3 kids.
He had gone to the hospital on Thursday for chest pains, and was released. His wife found him on the floor in the kitchen as they were about to leave for church. She tried CPR but was unsuccessful.
Sparano was Head Coach of the Miami Dolphins and was interim Head Coach of the Oakland Raiders, serving in many different positions as an Assistant Coach in the NFL.
