France beat Croatia 4-2 to capture the coveted World Cup “Jules Rimet Trophy”, capping off a fantastic run throughout this Cup play and ending the miraculous Title Dream run by little Croatia.

France entered the 2018 World Cup with terrible memories of their heartbreaking loss in their Final Game of the 2014 World Cup 1-0, to eventual Champ Germany.  and this time around they were not about to let that happen again. They went out in today’s Final vs. Croatia and although they were outplayed in the first half, they still led 2-1 thanks to a penalty shot due to a hand ball in the box by Croatia, to break a 1-1 tie in the 38th minute. France had only one shot on goal in that first half, with Croatia the shot leader with 7 shots in that first half., playing as the team that was the aggressor, albeit to not so great results.

The second half though was all France as they added 2 more goals in the 59th and 65th minute to take a 4-1 lead and they were able withstand a furious pace of the game in the final 30 minutes of play to hold off a courageous and heartfelt effort by Croatia.

Paul Pogba of France was credited with the game winning goal (in the 59th minute).

France throughout the World Cup was sound tactically and played with the best Defensive plan and were very worthy Champions.
