NBA PREVIEW: GAME 7 * CAVS @ CELTICS! (*SUNDAY MAY 27TH, 2018)

ONE GAME AND WINNER TAKES ALL – TRIP TO NBA FINALS ON LINE TONIGHT AT T.D. GARDEN!

Well folks, we’ve heard it many times before, other then the “best two minutes in sports” coming from Kentucky Derby, to major sports teams two words ” GAME 7″. as the best two words in Sports, even echoed by Lebron James. You play a long and grueling season, and it all comes down to this one game.

For the Celtics, the place this game will be played couldn’t be any more gift wrapped for a victory. The Celts are (10-0) straight up, (10-0 against the point spread in these 2018 Playoffs) and they have scored so much higher in their friendly confines then they have on the Road. At Home, at TD Garden, they’ve score under 100 points just twice. Both games (96 points scored and 92 points scored) were still WINS. The other wins came by scores of 105, 107, 108, 108, 112, 113, 114, 117 points, with most of those wins by wide margins.

The Cavs beat the Pacers in 7 games, but only by a combined 14 points. They played that Game 7 at their home, where they have been nearly unbeatable. Home court edge is gigantic so far in these East Playoffs.

The Cavs have bad news entering this game, as their leading rebounder and second leading scorer, Kevin Love, will miss this game due to a concussion he suffered in Game 6. He averages 9+ rebounds a game and is a deep threat which opens up the Offense, that for most part has been all Lebron only when they have played on road at TD Garden.

This will be the third game between these two teams in 5 days. We saw Lebron looked gassed in Game 5, although he seemed fine in Game 6. He has played in every game this season, and tonight will mark his 100th game of the year, his most ever.

Lebron is (5-2) in the 7th game of any Playoff Series and he’s on a 5 game winning streak in that department as well. His last Game 7 loss came at this same Arena, although he did score 45 points in that losing effort. He has faced the Celtics (89x), the most vs. any other NBA team. A loss today could also become his final game ever wearing a Cavs uniform.

LAS VEGAS BETTING ODDS: *BOSTON (-2 1/2) * TOTAL: (198 1/2 to 199 1/2) vs. CLEVELAND  (GAME 7) * (ESPN TV) * (5:30PM/PST)

GARY’S FINAL SHOTS:
Well folks, it’s the young boys of Beantown vs. the Old guys of Cleveland, winner goes to the NBA Finals. The Celtics are a perfect (10-0) at Home this Playoffs, and they play to a much higher level at home then they do on the Road. They seem to play to the wild crowd, and that extra energy has turned into many more easy points in transition.

In Game 6, the one savvy Veteran in the Celts starting lineup, Al Horford, struggled to get his Offensive display going. He never seemed in sync, and for this team to win, he must be able to be a major part of the scoring load. Tatum and Brown have both played at a higher level on the TD Garden floor as well, so they clearly are the Jekyll and Hyde of these Playoffs when they play at Home, as opposed to on the Road where they almost always fall behind big early.

The Cavs were able to win Game 6 without Loves service, but Game 7 without him will pose a much bigger task as now the Cavs MUST get scoring help from JR Smith and Kyle Korver. If they don’t, it won’t matter if Lebron scores 50. This game can really either put a solid stamp on his Legacy, as a win with this rat pack bunch of misfits would be his best Series win ever. He’s averaged (35) points per game in Game 7’s, and this game will be no different. I just don’t see him getting enough help from this shady cast of team mates to finally give the Celtics their first Home Playoff Loss.

It should be a very exciting game, and the reward for a win is a trip to the NBA Finals.

Let’s get it on!

Have a great day and rest of your Holiday weekend ahead and may all your wagers be winning ones.
