Fourteen years ago I met an architect while redeveloping casinos in Downtown Las Vegas who had just won the most prestigious award in architecture that can be won: The Pritzker Award. Her name was Zaha Hadid and she was a trailblazer and visionary in many way not the least of which was she was the first woman to win the Pritzker. She was an awesomely impressive woman who has since passed on prematurely. But in Macau on the Cotai Strip her work lives on as part of the City of Dreams casino hotel village. I snapped this photo early this morning and they don’t really do justice to the amazing style and structure conceived by Hadid. It’s as if the building is a living being always changing and morphing. Amazing. Thought I would share it with you!
