Paladins comes out of beta and HRX goes to Dreamhack!

After a few years of sometimes chaotic re-balancing, the always excellent Paladins is now out of beta/early access and launching version 1.0! Often incorrectly labeled as an Overwatch clone, (in some ways it’s actually superior) Paladins is a hero shooter that uses a mix of various character classes and powers to allow one team or the other to walk the objective to the goal.

Paladins is free to play and has a big celebration going on where you can play in special modes to get cosmetics and in game currency. You have no excuse not to join in.

In addition, the makers of Paladins (and Smite) Hi-Rez Studios hold an event called HRX aka Hi-Rez Expo each year. The expo features Esports competitions and community events. For 2018 they are joining forces with Dreamhack in Atlanta for the biggest HRX yet.

“After three years of consecutive sell-out crowds, it became clear that Hi-Rez Expo had outgrown our previous venue. This year we’re thrilled to announce we’ll be hosting Hi-Rez Expo at DreamHack Atlanta, Nov. 16-18 at the Georgia World Congress Center in downtown Atlanta!

It’s still the same Hi-Rez Expo you know and love, including the Paladins World Championship and the Paladins Console Wars. But now that we have a larger venue, we can do more: More panels, more meet-and-greets, more playable PCs, and more cosplay! And we’ll be able to share the excitement of HRX with more players, fans, press, and employees than ever before.”

We’ll be there this November as well so come out and say hello!
