Pacers Gaming, the NBA2K League branch of the Indiana Pacers has signed on a major founding partner in the Indiana Army National Guard. This sponsorship will cover both in game and physical branding placement for the Indiana Army National Guard’s logo as well as an unannounced video series likely tied to the Pacers Gaming training HQ.
“It’s an outstanding and natural fit between Pacers Gaming and the Indiana National Guard as we seek a workforce that is relevant, technical, agile and adaptable,” said Lt. Col. John Pitt, Commander of the Indiana Army National Guard Recruiting & Retention Battalion. “Gamers and cyber professionals share the same traits – the ability to process massive amounts of information and then take decisive action. They both have a keen and deep understanding of strategy, the ability to identify complex patterns and then apply that with critical thinking in the decision-making process.”

Military partnerships and sponsorships in Esports have been growing. The United States Air Force joined with Turner Broadcasting’s ELEAGUE and the US Navy forged a relationship with Grizz Gaming, another NBA2K League Team.
These relationships will become more important to the US Military as today’s youth move farther away from traditional media and more into Esports and non traditional broadcast channels.
