NBA PLAYOFFS RECAP: “WHO LET THE DOGS OUT”? FINALLY FAVS HAVE LOSING DAY AT THE VEGAS SPORTSBOOKS! (*MON APRIL 23, 2018)

TORRID RUN BETTING NBA FAVORITES FINALLY COMES TO END WITH 3 DOG SUNDAY!

Well folks the well has at least temporarily dried up as the huge run of NBA Playoff “Favorites” cashing tickets at massive rate finally came to a halt Sunday with 3 Dogs cashing out of the 4 games. And really the Cavs were the one favorite that did cover the point spread, but for two days leading up to the game, they were at times the Underdog there too. So the Sportsbook finally got a little relief to end the nightmare week.

The updated overall records now for the 2018 NBA PLAYOFFS:
*FAVORITES (19-11)

  • (8) DOGS have won Straight Up as well.
  • TOTALS:  (16) OVERS   *  (14) UNDERS

MONDAY NBA BETTING ODDS

HOUSTON ROCKETS  @ MINNESOTA T’WOLVES  (GAME 4)

VEGAS ODDS:  HOU (-6) (217 1/2) = CLOSING

OFFSHORE ODDS: HOU (-5 1/2) (218) = CLOSING

Note: The money went up and down on this game with a steady flow of both lines (-5 1/2 and -6).

OKLAHOMA CITY THUNDER @ UTAH JAZZ  (GAME 4)

VEGAS ODDS: UTAH (-4 1/2) (208) = CLOSING

OFFSHORE ODDS: UTAH (-5) (208) =  CLOSING

Note: This game had crazy moves from one side heavy for half time and then the other side getting all the betting action. Line opened (-5 1/2) in Vegas and (-5) Offshore, and Total was (209 1/2) in Vegas to Open, (209) Offshore.

Heading into tonite, both Houston and Utah have (2-1) overall leads in each Series. The T’wolves at least get to play at Home, while the Thunder must grab a Road win to even their Series. Minnesota really had the most crazed fan base in their Home game on Saturday. Their fans waited a long 14 years to finally get to show up and root their boys in on their Home court. The team clearly felt that Crowd Juice, and they pulled away with a solid win by double digits. Rockets PG Paul never really got into sync, and fouled out as well. T’wolves Butler, playing on one good leg, gave him a great effort and C – Towns played one of his best overall games. I wonder if the #1 for entire season Rockets though will play two back to back Bad games? This team steamrolled everyone during the Reg season, and is a very Veteran team. I’d expect a much sharper effort in Game 4.

As for the Thunder, these team has never fully jelled, and the Home crowd crazies in Utah really created an advantage for them. Oklahoma City superstar PG Westbrook was trying the entire game to get his mates good shots. Sadly they didn’t make them as the Jazz pulled away late. I fully expect the best Westbrook game we’ve seen in a month in this pivotal Game 4. These two teams are very evenly matched, and I fully expect Westbrook to be VERY ready for the Challenge he’s getting from my Rookie of Year, Donovan Mitchell. This one might even get testy, so tune in for some possible fireworks as this one will play out like a Heavyweight Title Fight. Team with last shot win?
